On Friday, November 15th, the National Black MBA Association® hosted the fourth installment of the Black Think Symposium at The Gathering Spot. The event was sponsored by BMW of North America and featured BMW test drives of their new 2020 models.
The “Black Think: millennial Edition” offered Millennials from the Atlanta area an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations and share feedback on how Black millennials might get a better return from the workplace while creating more financial stability in a growing gig economy. The evening kicked off with a panel discussion featuring millennial leaders from various industries who shared their insights about workplace trends, being unapologetically Black, and navigating their way to financial independence. After the panel discussion, the millennial attendees spent time developing their recommendations to solve the problem and provided insights for further consideration.
The event concluded with closing remarks from Keisha Townsend, Diversity Marketing Manager, BMW of North America, and a surprise “BMW Ultimate Drive” award presentation to panelist Antwanette McLaughlin, Founder, The Spice Group for all of her accomplishments as a millennial leader in the City of Atlanta.
The next NBMBAA® Black Think event is scheduled to take place in May 2020.
